Atlanta: Mild Air Returns as Early Week Showers Swarm Region

Wet weather will invade the Atlanta region early in the week and remain through midweek.
Daytime highs will gradually rise to the low 70s by the middle of the week, which is about 10 degrees above average for this time of year.

"Waves of low pressure will hover across the Gulf Coast and bring the chance of rain to Atlanta into Wednesday," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Maggie Samuhel said.
While lingering showers could hinder outdoor activities, it is not expected to be a complete washout.
"There could be breaks from the rain and rain may be on the lighter side at times," Samuhel said.
