Heat will continue to bake San Francisco on Saturday before easing to end the weekend.
Temperatures soared to 95 F in San Francisco on Friday, breaking the day's previous record high of 94 F from 1985.
Another sizzling day will unfold on Saturday as the baking ridge of high pressure remains overhead, causing temperatures to rise into the lower 90s.
Those spending time outdoors should use caution and apply sunscreen intermittently.

Relief from the heat will come on Sunday as patchy low clouds start the day and temperatures top out at around the 80-degree mark.
On Sunday, the 49ers will host the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Fans attending the game will have temperatures in the upper 70s for the 1:25 p.m. kickoff.
