A strengthening nor'easter will bring some showers and wind to the Washington, D.C., area during the middle part of the week, even though the storm will move slowly away.
While the worst of the storm, wind-swept rain and coastal flooding, will target New England and neighboring Canada, rounds of rain and increasing winds are in store for areas farther south in the mid-Atlantic.
The rain will depart the Washington, D.C. area, but gusty winds could lead to sporadic flight delays through Thursday throughout the Northeast.

The combination of rain, wind or other conditions will cause AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures to dip into the 40s at times through Thursday.
There is good news for people with outdoor or travel plans this weekend. The storm will weaken and move away, allowing sunshine and moderating temperatures. However, a disturbance passing by to the north could kick up winds again during Saturday night and Sunday.
