After a comfortable start to the week, higher humidity and drenching thunderstorms will return to Boston at midweek.
Those with outdoor plans and projects should take advantage of the dry stretch of weather through Tuesday. High pressure will be overhead during that time but will slowly depart.
Humidity will remain low each day with temperatures approaching or reaching the 80-degree mark underneath some sunshine. Such highs are typical for late June.
Wednesday is when a noticeable increase in humidity will occur and thunderstorms will return as a storm system moves in from the Midwest.
The most active time of Wednesday is likely to be the afternoon. The potential for some of the thunderstorms to drop blinding and flooding downpours will increase Wednesday night as the storm system presses toward the East Coast.
