After rain interfered with play at Wimbledon on Saturday, the threat for more delays and cancellations will continue on Monday.
Due to delays on Saturday, five third-round matches were scheduled be completed Monday.
Showers developed south of London on Monday afternoon, before advancing northward and drenching the area, resulting in delays.
A full day of dry weather will follow on Tuesday as high pressure takes control.
Following temperatures around 68 F (20 C) on Monday, temperatures will climb into the lower 70s F (21-23 C) on Tuesday across the London area.
Wednesday and Thursday appear to be the warmest days of the week with high temperatures rising into the upper 70s F (middle 20s C). It will be dry with plenty of sunshine during this time due to high pressure over southern England.
Tennis Channel analyst Justin Gimelstob noted, "when the weather is warm, especially for long stretches, the courts get harder and the balls bounce higher creating a dynamic where the ball picks up speed upon contact with the court surface."

From Friday into the weekend, a front will approach from the northwest potentially making Championship Sunday a wet one. Expect the chance for outbreaks of rain and even a few thunderstorms the potential strength of this front.
This can possibly lead to delays and even some cancellations of any matches on the outdoors courts.
Even though the Centre Court roof will keep matches going through any adverse weather, AccuWeather.com Eric Leister reported that it will create a different environment for players.
Gimelstob added, "When the roof closes, Wimbledon becomes an indoor event with a completely controlled environment, no sun nor wind which favors the more aggressive player."
Stay tuned for more updates as AccuWeather.com will keep you filled in on the latest information.
According to the UK Met Office, only five tournaments in the 127-year history of Wimbledon have escaped rain with the last such year being 1993.
