Chicago area residents should prepare for a significant dip in temperature this weekend.
The recent warmer weather the region has been experiencing will continue Saturday with highs in the low 70s and sunny skies. However, windy conditions will arise with wind gusts approaching 30 mph.
Temperatures will dip into the 60s on Sunday with showers expected throughout the day. Sunday evening will be cooler with temperatures in the 40s and the chance for a thunderstorm.

The wet weather is likely to affect the match-up between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians at U.S. Cellular Field. First pitch for the game is set for 1:10 p.m. CDT Sunday.
The start of the workweek will see colder-than-normal weather hit Chicago, starting Monday with temperatures in the 40s remaining through Wednesday. There is a chance for some rain Monday morning.
