After ending the work-week in the upper 70s and lower 80s across the Great Lakes Region, another spell of cooler weather will follow.
These are not expected to be the lowest temperatures so far this summer, but temperatures will again drop back into the 70s for the weekend.
Normal temperatures for the beginning of August from Minneapolis to Chicago and Detroit are in the lower 80s.
But instead, the Minneapolis area will be in the upper 70s this weekend, while Chicago will dip down into the mid 70s through Monday.
Temperatures will briefly surge back to the more-average 80s next week, but in the longer range, the upper-level patter will likely bring things back to a cooler than normal state.
