Though the weather will cool, it won't be the best day for those looking to get outdoors as spotty showers are in the forecast.
The best chance of precipitation will occur west of the city Saturday, in the high terrain across the Olympic Peninsula and closer to the coast.
The mercury will rest at 73 degrees Saturday, finally falling below normal after several days of above-normal temperatures.
Until Aug. 22, above-normal highs in the city have been in place for all but five days in the month of August.
From June 1 to Aug. 22, temperatures have averaged three degrees above normal.
On Sunday, the chance of showers will lessen as storms sneak farther south toward Portlan
