The recent stretch of cool, wet weather dominating the United Kingdom will give way to a warmer and drier weekend.
Many people who have been delaying outdoor plans will finally have an opportunity to get outside without the threat for rain.
Rainfall remains in the forecast for Saturday across Northern Ireland, northwest England and Scotland; however, any rainfall will be limited to northern and western Scotland with other areas generally only getting a brief shower or two.

Largely dry weather is expected across the northern U.K. on Sunday with nothing more than a brief shower in Scotland.
Farther south and east, dry weather will prevail as temperatures climb to the highest levels in more than a week from Manchester to London.
Sunday will feature the brightest sun of the weekend.
High temperatures will climb to 21-22 C (70-72 F) in Manchester while temperatures climb to 24-27 C (75-80 F) in London.
A few of the warmest places in South East England will approach 28 C (82 F) on Sunday.

This warm spell will not last long as a cold front slices through northern and central parts of the U.K. on Monday.
Cooler air and showers will reach Belfast and Edinburgh on Monday, before spreading into Manchester and London on Tuesday.
This cooler and showery weather pattern will hold strong across all of the U.K. for much of next week.
