Following a stretch of dry and comfortable weather, thunderstorms will return to Germany this weekend.
While a few spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible across the far north on Saturday, most areas will be dry and seasonably warm.
The greatest threat for a thunderstorm will be from Hamburg and Kiel to areas north of Berlin. However, these areas will likely be dry most of the day.
Temperatures on Saturday afternoon with range from 20-22 C (68-72 F) across the far north to 26-29 C (78-84 F) throughout central and southern Germany.
A cold front on Sunday will cause widespread showers and thunderstorms across the northern half of Germany with more isolated showers and thunderstorms in the south.

While a few of the strongest thunderstorms can produce frequent lightning and downpours, no widespread severe weather is expected.
Anyone planning to attend the Fall Folk Festival in Nuremberg, the Rheingau Wine Festival in Frankfurt or Reichsstadt Festival in Rothenburg can should be prepared for potential downpours on Sunday.
Temperatures on Sunday will generally be a few degrees lower than Saturday but still above normal for early September.
"Rain and thunderstorms will continue into Sunday night and Monday morning," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Courtney Spamer.
