Highs are set to soar across Germany late this week as a long-duration heat wave takes hold of the country.
Temperatures will climb each day through Friday, resulting in highs near 32 C (90 F) into next week.
Western Germany will get the first taste of the heat as temperatures climb into the upper 20s C (80-85 F) on Tuesday with plenty of sunshine.

Warmth will build across the west and expand throughout the remainder of Germany on Wednesday.
High temperatures will approach 27 C (80 F) in Berlin and Munich, and near 30 C (86 F) from Stuttgart to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
Temperatures will continue to rise into Friday, approaching 32 C (90 F) across much of the country. Most locations will end up 6-10 C (12-18 F) above normal.
"The most intense heat will be across central and northern Germany," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.

"Combined with dew points above 15 C (60 F), it will be muggy and uncomfortable during the day and at night," he said.
Anyone planning to be outdoors for an extended period during the day should drink plenty of water to avoid heat-related illnesses.
The far north will escape the worst of the heat wave as a weak cold front approaches on Saturday.
While temperatures will be well above normal on Thursday and Friday, locations from Hamburg to Kiel can expect some relief over the weekend along with the chance for rainfall.
Elsewhere, dry weather is expected to prevail through at least Monday before the threat for thunderstorms arrives on Tuesday.
Cooler air following this storm system will bring an end to the heat wave by the middle of next week.
