Winter storm watches are in effect for northeast Colorado, eastern Wyoming, northwest Kansas, Nebraska, southeast South Dakota, northern Iowa, southern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. A separate wave of low pressure will bring a mixture of rain, freezing rain and snow to the northern Mid-Atlantic and New England.

Out west, a Pacific frontal system will generate light to moderate rain in western Oregon and western Washington. Locally heavy rain and high elevation snow can be expected along western facing slopes across the Washington Olympics and the northern Cascades. Dry weather will continue over the Southwest as high pressure builds along the coast of southern California.
