A blizzard will continue to bring significant travel problems to the central United States into Thursday.
The snow will shift eastward into portions of the Upper Midwest into Thursday, including cities of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Minneapolis, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Snowfall rates may reach 1 or even 2 inches per hour for a time overnight," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Carl Erickson said. "The heavier snow will expand into northern lower Michigan late Wednesday into Thursday."
Total snowfall will range from 6-12 inches within this swath, while 12-18 inches could fall in a narrow corridor from extreme southeastern Minnesota through central Wisconsin and northern Michigan, he added.
