Following a mild start to the week, chilly weather is set to return to the Cleveland area by the middle of the week.
A storm system passing through the Great Lakes will usher in mild temperatures through Tuesday.
"High temperatures through the early part of the week will be around 50 degrees," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Rich Jaworski.

Showers will accompany the mild weather. Folks will want to keep the umbrella close by and may need to dig out the rain jacket.
The mild air is not expected to last too long though. Much colder air will wrap around behind the system during by the middle of the week.
"During this time, rain showers could transition to a period of snow showers," said Jaworski.
High pressure will build in towards the end of the week, which will yield several days of dry weather. Thursday and Friday will feature the most sunshine this week.

Despite this sunshine, temperatures will continue to remain in the low-to-mid 30s.
As the weekend approaches, eyes will turn to the next weather system that will pass close to the region. It is expected to pass by to the south, but any shift to the north could bring a period of snow.
