The wet weather pattern will continue across the Seattle area through the first part of the weekend before drier weather moves in for the new week.
Rain can be expected to soak the region through Saturday, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Dave Samuhel said.
Another round of showers is expected on Saturday as a storm system drops southward along the coast.
Highs each day of the weekend will remain in the 40s.

As the rain comes to an end, sunshine will make a return for the remainder of the weekend and continue through through Thursday.
