Light to moderate showers will spread across across New England, while a mixture of rain and snow will be possible over northern New England.
Meanwhile, a separate cold front will push southeastward over the western half of the country. During the first half of Wednesday, heavy rain and mountain snow will develop across the Pacific Northwest, the upper Intermountain West and northern California. Light to moderate precipitation will spread across central California, the Great Basin and the northern high Plains during the afternoon and evening. A ridge of high pressure will keep conditions relatively clear from the Southwest to the southern Plains.
