While blustery winds will usher in colder air on Christmas Day, milder air will then quickly return to Pittsburgh on Friday.
A blustery and colder Christmas Day is shaping up for Pittsburgh, replacing the rain and gusty thunderstorms from Christmas Eve.
The winds will gust occasionally between 40 and 50 mph on Christmas, creating significantly lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.
Minor tree damage and sporadic power outages can result.
An end to the blustery weather will come at the close of Christmas Day with milder air to return for Friday and Saturday.
Contrary to Christmas Eve, Friday and Saturday will be great for travelers and shoppers.

Some residents and visitors may want to take advantage of the mild temperatures these days and spend some time outdoors.
Temperatures are set to rise into the upper 40s, which would be about 10 degrees higher than highs that are more common for late December.
The passage of a cold front will bring the holiday weekend to an end, causing temperatures to tumble for Monday.
Even colder air will likely plunge in as 2014 transitions to 2015.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists will be monitoring the possibility for a winter storm to usher in the midweek cold blast.
