Chicago: Cold Air to Follow Damp and Mild Stretch

December 13,2014; 10:28PM,EST

After several days of November-like weather through the weekend into the upcoming week, Chicago looks to see a return to more seasonable weather by midweek.
After a brief December warmup across the Midwest, colder air will make a comeback to the region.
Prior to the invasion of chilly air, drizzle and rain will be persistent in Chicago. A steadier rain will move north into the area on Monday, as a storm moves north and spreads a swath of snow across the Upper Midwest.
Track the incoming rain to your precise location and stay alert to rapidly changing conditions by using MinuteCast® if you are traveling or headed outside.

Tuesday will start out on a mild note, but a transition to more winter-like weather looks to take place in the afternoon, with temperatures plunging into the 20s by the overnight hours.

As temperatures plummet, some snow may mix in with the rain showers and a transition to all snow showers is possible during the overnight hours. Little or no accumulation of snow is expected.
The high temperature on Wednesday will rise to slightly above freezing, but AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will stay in the middle 20s.
The seasonable weather looks to remain in the forecast through the end of the week.
