Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday,November 5,2014

 


A cold front will extend from the Northeast to the western Gulf Coast on Wednesday, while unsettled weather will persist over the Pacific Northwest,

An extensive cold front will stretch across the Northeast, the Ohio Valley, the middle Mississippi Valley and the western Gulf Coast. As this cold front shifts eastward, it will interact with moisture from the Gulf of Mexico to fuel heavy rain across Texas, the lower Mississippi Valley and the Tennessee Valley. In addition, light to moderate showers will be possible over the Ohio Valley, the eastern Great Lakes and the Northeast. Conditions will stay mostly clear across the Southeast on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a weak area of low pressure will slide east southeastward over the northern Plains and the upper Midwest. Light showers are expected over the northern Plains throughout the first half of the day, while a mixture of rain and snow will develop over the upper Midwest and the western Great Lakes during the late afternoon and evening.

To the west, an onshore flow from the Pacific will usher wet weather across the Pacific Northwest and the upper Intermountain West. High elevation snow showers will be possible across the Cascades and the northern Rockies. A ridge of high pressure will build over the eastern Pacific, bringing warm, dry weather to the Great Basin and the Southwest on Wednesday. Temperatures are forecast to range between the 70s and 80s across the Desert Southwest.
