Weather Underground Forecast for Monday,November 3,2014

A low pressure system will shift over the central Plains on Monday, while another Pacific system will approach the Northwest.

A trough of low pressure will move east northeastward over the central Plains. This system will bring snow showers to the central Rockies, while light to moderate rain will develop over the central Plains. During the afternoon and evening, rain will shift over the upper Midwest, while showers and thunderstorms will fire up across the southern Plains. Snow showers will taper off during the evening over the central Rockies.

Meanwhile, another Pacific system will approach the Northwest. This system will influence an onshore flow over the Pacific Northwest, bringing rain to Washington and Oregon. High elevation snow showers will be possible over the Cascades. By the end of the day, snow showers will start to develop over the northern Rockies. High pressure will keep conditions dry across the Great Basin and the Southwest on Monday. Temperatures are forecast to range between the 70s and 80s across the Desert Southwest.

High pressure will also keep conditions cool and dry across the eastern third of the country. Snow showers will linger over northern Maine during the early morning. Temperatures will range between the 30s and 40s across New England, while temperatures will range between the 60 and 70s from the Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast.
