It will be a fairly typical summertime weather pattern across the Atlanta area this week.
There will be sunshine and building clouds with a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon on Monday.
"Any of the storms can produce torrential downpours and localized flash flooding," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards.
Edwards said it will be a similar day on Tuesday with partly sunny skies and a few showers and thunderstorms across the area, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.

Wednesday will be less active than Monday and Tuesday with only a spotty afternoon shower or thunderstorm.
"Highs each afternoon Monday through Wednesday will reach the upper 80s to near 90 which is right around normal for this time of year," Edwards said.
