Showers to Usher April Into Los Angeles

After a dry final day of March, the return of showers to Los Angeles will come with the start of April.
A shower or two will accompany a cold front through Southern California on Tuesday.
A substantial amount of rain is not expected, but the showers would put a damper on outdoor activities. Odds favor the showers occurring in the morning rather than the afternoon.
A cold storm system will follow for Wednesday, bringing not only more showers but also the potential of a thunderstorm. It is not out of the question that one or two of the strongest thunderstorms produce small hail.

Snow levels will drop low enough for snow in the mountains and along the Grapevine corridor of Interstate 5.

With that cold air in place, temperatures will be held to the lower 60s in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday. A high in the lower 70s is more common for the start of April.
The storm will give way to a dry Thursday underneath times of clouds and sunshine.
