In addition to warm weather into the end of the week, the Pittsburgh area will be on the fringe of severe weather from the Midwest.
High temperatures for the remainder of the week will range from near 60 to near 70 F.
The typical high for the city during early April is 57 F.

The week will not be free of rain, however.
Rounds of heavy rain and severe thunderstorms will target areas to the west through Friday.
As these storms move eastward they will weaken, but periods of rain are in store Thursday into Friday. There is the chance of locally heavy, gusty thunderstorms reaching the area on Friday.
Rounds of rain are forecast Thursday into Friday.
The weekend will be cooler with spotty showers and a brisk wind on Saturday. Sunday will be the nicer of the two days with little wind, some sunshine and rebounding temperatures.
