Warmth will hold around Pittsburgh through Monday, but the return of much colder air is on the horizon.
The weekend will end with the warmest air so far this year pouring across southwestern Pennsylvania, boosting temperatures past the 80-degree mark.
Dry weather and some sunshine will compliment the warmth.
Temperatures will still rise well into the 70s on Monday despite some more clouds filtering overhead and a couple of showers and thunderstorms arriving in the afternoon.

Chilly air plunging into the Plains will swing eastward in the upcoming days.

Steadier rain will follow for Monday night in Pittsburgh as the cold blast approaches, leading to a dramatically colder Tuesday.
Tuesday's expected high of 45 F is likely to occur prior to daybreak with temperatures then falling into the 30s. The rain may even mix with or end as wet snow.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s Tuesday night, spelling bad news for those who planted sensitive vegetation early.
More seasonable high temperatures should follow for later in the week.
