Down and Out in Anchorage: Homeless in America's Coldest City

Being homeless in Anchorage is like being homeless nowhere else in America. Winter temperatures can drop below -20. It's not uncommon to lose your life or limbs. Twelve homeless people have died of exposure already this year. Few people have seen this world.
Until now.
In January of 2014, The Weather Channel investigated the conditions of the homeless in America's coldest city. The result was 20-minute documentary that shows the hardships, and the resilience, of the people who chose live outside in some of the most punishing weather conditions in the United States.
