Another Soaking on the Horizon for Boston

Umbrellas will get a break in Boston until soaking rain returns Monday night.
An area of high pressure will allow dry weather to prevail across eastern Massachusetts through Monday.
Plenty of sun will shine on Sunday and temperatures will rise into the middle 50s. Only a cool morning and a brisk wind will prevent the weather from being perfect for outdoor activities.
Highs in the upper 50s are expected on Tuesday. Clouds, though, will be on the increase ahead of a storm system tracking northeastward from the Gulf of Mexico.

The storm's soaking rain will reach Boston Monday night with a quick 0.50 to 1.0 inch expected to fall.

Widespread flash flooding is not anticipated, but there could be isolated issues in poor drainage areas. The main impacts of the rain will be an increased use in umbrellas, as well as slow downs and reduced visibility for motorists.

A shower is still possible on Tuesday. Most residents will likely pay more attention to temperatures rebounding to around 65 F. Blustery winds will erase the mild spell for Wednesday.
