After a seasonably cool start to the week, warmer air is headed to Washington, D.C., as Halloween approaches.
Monday will feel like a typical late-October day with plenty of sunshine and a high of 65 degrees.
Fresh cool air will hold temperatures to the lower 60s on Tuesday despite more sunshine.
While some rain bypasses the nation's capital to the north, a warming trend will commence on Wednesday with highs in the middle to upper 60s.

Further warming will occur on Thursday with temperatures reaching the middle 70s.
Dry weather should prevail during the daylight hours of Thursday. At night is when a shower may return and put a damper on Halloween festivities.

Steadier rain should follow for Friday, and it is not out of the question that a period of gusty winds accompanies the rain.
Friday will still feature mild temperatures with a high in the lower 70s.
