A potent storm affecting the middle of the nation at midweek will bring gusty winds, warm air and spotty showers to Washington, D.C. Thursday night into Friday.
The bulk of the rain from the storm will pass by to the north and west of the city.
Temperatures will be in the upper 60s Halloween evening for the masquerade, and rain should be scarce.
Winds can become strong Thursday night into Friday.
Gusts could top 40 mph causing fallen leaves to scatter and trash cans to tip over.
Some wind-related flight delays are possible as well.

The storm and its south to southwesterly winds will bring in warmer air into the end of the week, before cooling winds from the west kick in following the storm over the weekend.
