A temperature drop Wednesday plummeted highs into the lower 60s for the Dallas area, as a wet and rainy system continued its departure to the east. The rest of the workweek will see a reprieve from the showers and storms that dominated the local weather pattern to begin the week.

Skies leading into the weekend will have a generous mix of clouds and sunshine, though Friday will be the cloudiest of the days. Temperatures will increase into the upper 60s and lower 70s before rising again on Sunday.
