High pressure continued to dominate the West Coast on Sunday, while a cold frontal boundary brought snowy conditions to the upper Midwest.

A ridge of high pressure brought warm, dry conditions to the Southwest on Sunday, while the Pacific Northwest remained cool. Temperatures ranged between the 50s and 60s in Washington and Oregon, while temperatures rose into the 70s and 80s in California and Arizona. The Great Basin also stayed clear of precipitation, and temperatures ranged between the 60s and 70s. Parts of the Intermountain West experienced light snowfall early Sunday due to lingering moisture behind a recent cold frontal passage. Temperatures were also very cold in Colorado during the early morning, as Gunnison, Colorado recorded a morning low of 17 degrees.

More moderate precipitation moved into the northern Plains and Upper Midwest early Wunday as a cold front stretched from Montana to Wisconsin. Spotty, light snow showers pushed across Montana and parts of the Dakotas, while moderate rain and snow impacted Minnesota and Wisconsin. Langdon, North Dakota reported a midday total of 0.65 inches of snow. Light showers also fell in parts of the southern Plains and Mississippi Valley on Sunday. Meanwhile, the majority of the East Coast experienced sunny skies as high pressure kicked in over the region.
