A cooler and damp Monday is shaping up for Los Angeles following a dry weekend.
A storm system diving southward through the West will cause clouds and a bit of rain on Monday to replace this weekend's dry weather in Los Angeles.
Gone on Monday will be the highs in the 70s that prevailed this weekend. Temperatures instead will be held to the middle 60s.
A high of 77 degrees is more common in Los Angeles in late October.
Monday's rain will not be heavy, but it could be enough to cause slick spots on roads and highways by interacting with the thin coating of oil left behind by vehicles during the recent dry spell.
A little rain may linger into Tuesday morning.

There could also be enough cold air for snow to fall in the highest elevations north and east of Los Angeles Monday through Tuesday, but not in the Grapevine and Cajon Pass.
Snow will fall in the Sierra, causing travel problems on I-80's Donner Pass.
The mountains and deserts of Southern California is where strong, gusty winds will also unfold on Monday.
