Tropical Depression Eighteen-E has become the latest tropical depression to spin up during a busy 2016 eastern Pacific hurricane season.

This system was located just under 800 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, as of Sunday evening, local time.

Eighteen-E will move gerenally toward the north or north-northeast the next few days, according to the National Hurricane Center forecast.
Some strengthening is also expected, with it likely to become Tropical Storm Roslyn in the next day or so.

Projected Path
The "future Roslyn" will have a short lifespan, however.
Wind shear and colder water will quickly lead to this system's demise later in the week as it remains well off the Baja California peninsula.
Unlike with Hurricane Paine, it's not yet clear how much, if any at all, remnant moisture from this system gets drawn into Baja California and the Southwest U.S.
