Tropical Storm Madeline Forms In The Open Pacific; Could Have Impacts in Hawaii Next Week

Madeline has formed in the open Pacific and is expected to gradually intensify over the next several days.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
  • Tropical Storm Madeline is located over 1200 miles east-southeast of Hawaii.
  • The depression is forecast to strengthen over the next couple of days, and could become a hurricane on Monday.
  • This new system is no threat to the U.S. mainland, but could be a threat to Hawaii by the mid to end of next week.
