Friday will be largely dry across the United Kingdom, but the threat for rain will increase over the bank holiday weekend.
A pair of storm systems will threaten to spread rain throughout the U.K. each day of the weekend.
Several music festivals may be at risk for soggy conditions, including Creamfields, Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.

While dry weather is expected for all three events on Friday, rainfall will threaten Reading Festival on Saturday.
Thundery showers are possible throughout the day, and some delays are possible due to thunderstorms. Brief downpours can result in muddy conditions, so wellies and rain coats are recommended.
The greatest threat for rain on Sunday will shift to Creamfields and Leeds Festival, as a storm approaching from the west spreads rainfall over the areas.
Flooding rain is not expected; however, the showery spells could span several hours during the final day of the festivals.
Wet weather will also threaten the Cardiff Harbor Festival taking place on Sunday and Monday.
Thundery showers are possible on Sunday before drier weather returns on Monday. Any thunderstorm could impact the water sports, including powerboat and jet ski racing.

Notting Hill Carnival is also set to take place on Sunday and Monday. A thundery shower can not be ruled out on Sunday afternoon which could produce brief downpours. Monday will be more tranquil, despite the chance for a brief shower or two.
Seasonable temperatures will prevail across much of the United Kingdom throughout the bank holiday weekend. South East England will be the exception to this, where temperatures will continue to sit several degrees above normal.
