Early December Warm Spell Arrives in Atlanta

The first part of December will begin with warm temperatures in the Atlanta area.
It will make up for a November that was 5 degrees below average.
Temperatures through Thursday will hover near 70 F and could approach the record high of 74 F set in 1998 on Tuesday.

While the temperatures won't be of a cooler Christmas variety, it will be pleasant for holiday activities around the region including Centennial Olympic Park's annual Holiday in Lights.
Friday night into Saturday there may be a few showers possible, with more rain expected throughout the day on Saturday. Highs will dip into the low 60s on Saturday.
