British Isles, Northern Europe to Stay Unsettled into Christmas

A series of fast-moving storm systems will continue the theme of unsettled weather from Ireland and the United Kingdom through northern Europe through Christmas.
While no one particular storm will cause widespread damage or travel disruptions, each will produce showers and gusty winds and put temperatures on a roller-coaster ride.
The showers will occasionally occur as or be mixed with snow in the higher terrain of the British Isles, as well as parts of Scandinavia and northeastern Europe.
Gusty winds will howl even when dry weather prevails, especially near the coastlines.

The latest storm will continue to push a cold front across northern Europe through Saturday. Showers will accompany the front, while winds blow prior and following the front's passage.
The winds will not only usher in cooler air in the front's wake but will also create even lower AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.

After rising to a mild high of the lower teens C (lower 50s F) in Berlin on Friday, temperatures will be held to around 6 C (lower 40s F) on Saturday with subfreezing RealFeels.
Temperatures will rebound across the British Isles and northwestern Europe to start Christmas week as the corridor of showers will stretch from Scotland to the vicinity of Poland and Belarus. Snow will fall along the leading edge of the showers in northeastern Europe.

The mild air will likely not last as another cold front is expected to open the door for fresh cool air to spill across the British Isles and northern Europe by Christmas.

It'd be nice to see the sun again... During daylight hours, MDT has had an observation with OVC (overcast skies) everyday since Dec 7th.
