REPORTS: Snow, Wintry Mix Slow Morning Commute From Ohio Valley to Northeast

November 17,2014; 9:14PM,EST

Update at 12:30 p.m. EST Monday:
This blog is no longer live. Reports from the snowstorm and severe weather can be found below.

A disruptive early season storm system is pushing across the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast United States Monday after dropping snow in parts of Texas and Oklahoma on Sunday.
Several incidents of severe weather was also reported in the Deep South overnight and early Monday morning.
Numerous vehicle crashes have been reported across Midwest as the cross-country storm makes its way eastward.
"While this will not be a massive snowstorm and the heaviest to hit the Ohio Valley, the fact that it will be followed by plunging temperatures means that any wet or slushy areas could freeze and create dangerous conditions for motorists," AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Krissy Pydynowski said.
