Blustery and Chilly Start to the Week in Northeast

Following the storm that dumped snow from South Carolina to Maine during the weekend, cool air will filter in for the start of the week.
The drastic cooldown that came through at the start of the weekend will continue into Monday.
Temperatures on Monday in Boston will struggle to reach 50 degrees with a brisk northwest wind. As a result, AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will be in the 30s most of the day.
Temperatures will rebound to more seasonable values on Monday from New York state and points south, but will remain below average across New England. This will especially be the case in Maine where a powerful storm dumped over a foot of snow.

Because of the gusty winds, airports such as LaGuardia, Newark, and Logan International could have delays on Monday. Because these are busy travel hubs, these delays could cascade to other parts of the country as well.

As the storm pulls away by late on Monday, winds will subside. A southwesterly flow will bring in some milder air into the East. Ahead of the next storm system moving from the Ohio Valley and through the Northeast on Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will once again soar.
Highs midweek look to land in the upper 60s for Philadelphia and lower 70s in Washington, D.C. Highs in the 60s are in store for New York City and Boston on Wednesday ahead of the next wave of rain.
