The new week is set to start on a rocky note around Dallas with severe thunderstorms in the forecast.
After a couple of heavy and gusty thunderstorms work into the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex through Monday morning, AccuWeather.com meteorologists are concerned for more severe thunderstorms to erupt in the afternoon.
The strongest thunderstorms Monday afternoon will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and even a few tornadoes.

The severe weather danger and threat for any thunderstorms will end by Tuesday as drier and less humid air works into north-central Texas.
The dry weather will hold through Wednesday as temperatures soar into the 90s.
