A system delivering severe weather over the Central states at midweek will bring rain and thunderstorms Wednesday night around Pittsburgh.
The rain will follow a break of dry weather during the day Wednesday.
AccuWeather.com MinuteCast™ has the minute-by-minute forecast for your exact location when showers and thunderstorms threaten. Type your city name, select MinuteCast™, and input your street address. On mobile, you can also use your GPS location.
The rain Wednesday night has the potential to be heavy and disruptive, while the worst of the severe weather is likely to swing to the south toward central West Virginia.
In the wake of the rain the stretch of days from Thursday through Sunday will bring at least partial sunshine. Cool conditions are in the offing Thursday and Friday, while temperatures rebound into the 80s on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday will bring the risk of a drenching shower or thunderstorm. So if you were planning on going to a Pirates ball game this weekend, Friday and or Saturday would be the better choice in terms of avoiding a downpour and delays.
