Dallas will see temperatures soar to above the 90 F into the week with sunshine before thunderstorms move in.
"A sprawling high pressure system will continue to bring sunshine and 90 plus degree heat through at least Saturday," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Andy Mussoline said.

The expanding heat will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses. Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is one of the most important steps in staying safe from the heat.
Those who tend to spend much of their day outside will want to take the necessary steps to cope with the summerlike heat.
The high pressure system should bring another day of sunshine and heat on Sunday, but a storm could threaten to bring thunderstorms to the area by late in the day.
"That storm could then bring a better chance for a thunderstorm to the area both Monday and Tuesday of next week,"
