A ridge of high pressure will be stationed over the northern Gulf of Mexico through the rest of the week and into the first part of this weekend which will help to control the weather across northern and eastern Texas.
Gusty southerly winds will keep Dallas seasonably warm through Sunday. Each night, areas of low clouds will develop across much of central and eastern Texas.
"They will burn off during the morning hours with sunshine prevailing by midday," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

"It'll be windy during the midday and afternoon hours with wind gusts to between 30-35 mph each afternoon," he said.
Warm air will be pumped into the Metroplex on southerly winds.

Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90 Thursday through Saturday. The normal high temperature is 84 degrees F.
The next chance of precipitation will come in the form of a thunderstorm later in the day Sunday.
By early next week, high pressure will slide eastward and a disturbance will move in from the west bringing the threat for some thunderstorms as well as slightly cooler temperatures, AccuWeather.com meteorologist Erik Pindrock said.
This could disrupt Memorial Day activities including outdoor recreation and outdoor family cook outs.
