Powerful thunderstorms will rumble across areas of the Ohio Valley Wednesday evening, threatening areas from Cincinnati and Louisville.
"The most active severe weather is currently across the Ohio Valley with the most violent thunderstorms continuing to track to the southeast through the evening," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.
Another round of severe weather will threaten areas in the High Plains Wednesday.
In addition to the strong winds and large hail, thunderstorms that track across this area will also produce torrential downpours that can lead to localized flash flooding. A very isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

There's flash flooding in Ohio, a hellacious hail storm and a tornado in Colorado. Those fires still raging in California? We're doomed.
