Rain to Continue to Pass on Los Angeles

While cooler temperatures will remain in the Los Angeles area through the early part of the week, a storm system dropping into the West will not bring needed rain to Southern California.
Highs will be in the low 70s on Monday, or just below normal for this time of year in the city.

Gusty breezes will emerge in parts of the area on Tuesday afternoon as temperatures drop below 70 F.
A slow warming trend will begin Wednesday, but the high temperatures will not approach last week's record-breaking heat.
By Thursday, highs will be in the mid-70s with times of clouds and sun throughout the day.

AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Erik Pindrock said the threat remains high for where the worst of the wildfires are in Southern California through the early part of this week.
However, the disturbance off the Pacific Ocean which will bring the cooler temperatures to the area midweek, could also bring an isolated shower to the mountains just outside of the city.
"Regardless of whether or not it rains, the humidity will come up some for the end of the week which is better news for fighting wildfires," he said.
