A quick-moving storm system brought a stormy start to the weekend on Saturday in Seattle.
It also caused a struggle for utility crews throughout the region.
As many as 145,000 electric customers were without power Saturday in the Seattle area, utility officials said.

At least 105,000 of those customers were served by Puget Sound Energy. Puget Sound said on its Twitter feed that a wide swath of its service area was affected.
Another 40,000 customers served by Seattle City Light were also without power.
The outages occurred as strong winds, with gusts more than 60 mph, accompanied the storm system.
About 50 motorists abandoned their vehicles on the State Route 520 bridge in King County because of high winds, the Washington State Patrol said on one of its Twitter feeds. Troopers said the bridge was swaying 4 to 5 feet. The motorists were later escorted back to their vehicles.
At the same time, rain will change to snow and threaten to cause travel problems in the Cascade mountain passes.

Leftover moisture from the storm will keep showers around Sunday, though they will be more sparse and less intense than the storms that started the weekend.
There will also be less wind howling on Sunday as high temperatures are held to the upper 40s.
