* LOCATIONS...COASTAL CONNECTICUT...URBAN NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY...STATEN ISLAND IN NEW YORK CITY...AND CENTRAL AND EASTERN LONG ISLAND. THE GROWING SEASON HAS ALREADY ENDED IN AREAS TO THE NORTH.
* HAZARDS...AT OR BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
* TEMPERATURES...UPPER 20S AND LOWER 30S. THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES SHOULD OCCUR IN COASTAL CONNECTICUT AND THE PINE BARRENS OF LONG ISLAND.
* TIMING...LATE SUNDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS...THE COLD COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION...AND BRING AN END TO THE GROWING SEASON.
