Following a warm weekend, cool air and showers will move back into the United Kingdom.
A warm and generally dry day is expected on Sunday. However, the pattern will change over the following days with cool air and showers returning on Monday.
A stiff northwesterly wind will pull in showers for Monday, with the steadiest rain across northern Scotland.
Showery weather is anticipated elsewhere, from northern Wales and the Midlands of England to Northern Ireland and southern Scotland.
Thundery showers will also be possible, especially during the afternoon.

On-and-off showers will continue through Wednesday, especially for Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England.
This means it could be a damp start for the first full week of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland's capital. The festival, known as the largest art festival in the world, kicks off over the weekend but will continue throughout next week with showery weather.
Spectators and visitors going from venue to venue will want to bring along a brolly.
In addition to the rain, a change in temperatures will be noticeable from Monday into Tuesday.
"It will be much cooler than of late across the British Isles for the start of the new week," AccuWeather Meteorologist Steve Travis said.
It will feel like an early taste of fall, with afternoon high temperatures ranging from 15-18 C (59-64 F) and a crisp breeze out of the northwest.
It will be even chillier during Monday night and Tuesday night.
"At night, some of the typical colder locations will go below 0 C (32 F) with more widespread lower single digits in the mountains," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.

Even though the showers will likely not reach southern parts of England and southern Wales, a significant temperature contrast will exist between the weekend and early in the new week.
"After reaching high temperatures in the middle 20s across southern England over the weekend, daytime highs will be closer to 20 C for much of the week," Travis said.
High pressure is expected to approach the British isles for the middle of next week, helping to bring a brief dry period and closer-to-normal temperatures to the region
