Tropical Storm Kay Off the Coast of Mexico Poses No Threat to Land

Tropical Storm Kay continues to move away from land in the eastern Pacific and will weaken over the next few days.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
  • Tropical Storm Kay was located more than 500 miles west of the southern tip of Baja California, as of Monday afternoon.
  • Cooler ocean tempeatures and dry air will lead to the demise of Kay within the next few days.
  • This system is no direct threat to Baja California, but some elevated surf is possible.
