The 2016 Summer Olympics are in full swing in Rio de Janeiro.
After rain caused another round of delays and postponements on Wednesday, building heat could make for uncomfortable conditions into early this week.

Tennis and rowing events dealt with multiple delays earlier in the week due to rain and wind.
Temperatures will rise through the weekend, and humidity will build over the region.

Detailed Rio de Janeiro forecast
"Sunday will really be a warm day with highs above 80 F (26 C)," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Rob Miller said. "That will be the start of a stretch of dry weather that lasts into early next week."
Conditions will stay dry for weekend track, tennis and rowing events.
But as events continue early this week, rain could lead to additional delays. Miller said spotty showers and even a thunderstorm could unfold on Tuesday.
Temperatures will be on the rise as the second week of events kicks off.
