The stretch of dry weather and good travel conditions will come to an end around Philadelphia this weekend as a storm moves in from the Southwest states.
The dry weather will hold through Friday for those heading out on the roadways or at the airport.
A storm will affect the region Saturday into Sunday with mostly rain. It is possible a bit of sleet and snow will fall at the onset on Saturday. However, roads around the immediate area will be wet.
If headed out on the road or taking air travel during the day, track any incoming precipitation with MinuteCast® down to your precise location.
People heading well north and west of the city should anticipate slippery travel for a time on Saturday, before temperatures rise.
Much colder air will circulate in behind the storm next week after a mild start on Sunday. It is possible winds get strong enough to cause minor flight delays for a time.
By the middle of next week, it is possible the area experiences its coldest weather of the winter months so far. Temperatures could stay in the 20s on one or more days.
